USMS is organized in 53 geographic areas of the United States which are managed by the Local Masters Swimming Committee (LMSC). The Potomac Valley LMSC is responsible for The District of Columbia, the Maryland counties of Montgomery and Prince Georges, and the Virginia counties of Arlington and Fairfax and the Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, and Falls Church.
The purpose of this webpage is to provide information on the administrative structure behind the Potomac Valley Masters Swimming Committee (PVMSC).
The current PVMSC Board Members meet at least three times per year for open meetings. See below for Minutes from these meetings.
Our Bylaws were first adopted sometime in the 1980s. Unfortunately we do not have the exact date let alone year. If you are reading this and have information that can help us find the answer to the mystery please send an email. The Bylaws were later amended in 1989 and then again in 1993. It is likely they will be amended again sometime in the future to bring them up to date. The Bylaws are available in PDF format here:

* Note if you are not a member of these two lists your email will be rejected (the purpose of these links is for PV business only and making the list protected will eliminate unsolicted email from outsiders).
