Coaches Certification |
| There are four levels for Masters coach certification. The courses for Levels 1, 2, and 3 are taught in classroom settings throughout the country by USMS-certified coach trainers. Level 4 is a portfolio-style application and has no classroom component. |
Coaches Clinics |
| Clinic courses for Coaches teach how to conceptualize, organize, market, and deliver stroke development clinics, and are only offered to USMS-certified Masters coaches and ALTS instructors. The course consists of both classroom and on-deck components and each course is limited to 12 coaches and instructors. |
Coach Mentor Program |
| The coach mentorship program brings together Masters coaches requesting assistance in the development of their coaching career with experienced Masters coaches willing to serve as a mentor coach. Mentors require five years of coaching experience, USMS certification, communication and listening skills, and experience in several areas. Mentees must have a minimum of one year coaching Masters swimmers, be USMS coach certified Level 2 or higher, and be coaching a registered club or workout group. |
